The Sobbing Sound of Trees

Why do humans have to work so hard to destroy every good thing that feeds our life?

Author, philosopher, Jon Jandai who promotes self reliance and having a relationship with nature, questions in the video below what humans are doing and why we are breaking our backs just to cause such harm.

There seems to be a reaction from westerners when they hear pleas for change they believe they are being “shamed.” Jandai speaks with a peaceful tone, he eloquently asks for introspection, yet even that is too much for many addicts of this culture of consumerism who are willing to concoct any semi-plausible justification for their actions. Like a capitalist will dismiss plowing down large areas of land while making animals homeless and  eradicating the local ecosystem, and they’ll rationalize it by saying it produces jobs that help the working class. Yet those Jobs need not exist in the first place, they are only necessary because an imperial force has dictated that you need money to live on the land that was once free. The whole system is one intentionally over complicated cluster whose sole reason for being is to entrap people into wage labor, aka neo-feudalism baby, all while telling people they are free.

Jandai speaks to the idea of simplicity, but he knows all too well that the powers that be intentionally try take simplicity away from the people in order to coerce them into showing up at those jobs that are destroying nature at an ever accelerating pace.

Also check out Jon Jandai’s Ted talk below on how humans have over complicated things unnecessarily. I know, most Ted talks are shit, but his is actually pretty good.
